Criteria

Athletes:
Must be Wartburg graduates but need not have done all their undergraduate work at the college.

Must have graduated at least 10 years prior to the award year.

Must have been outstanding athletes at Wartburg as substantiated by All-Conference or All-America  honors or career statistics.

Must have demonstrated some evidence of professional or personal achievement after graduation.

Must have made a contribution to the communities in which they have lived.
Coaches:
Must have coached at Wartburg for five years after 1935.
Must have been retired from coaching at the college for at least five years.
Success on the field, leadership qualities, contributions to the college and to student-athletes, and moral and ethical characteristics will all be considered as part of the criteria.
Circumstances of the era in which the coach worked will be taken into consideration.

Nomination Information

Future candidates for the Wartburg Athletic Hall of Fame may be nominated by alumni, parents, friends of the college, faculty or staff members. Nominations must be submitted by Nov. 1 each year to Buzz Levick, 1823 Second Ave. N.W., Waverly, Iowa 50677.
